A Brewery older than Belgium itself

Founded over 200 years ago, and 7 generations of the Bosteels family, the Bosteels Brewery continues to brew to this day with the same enthusiasm to create some of Belgium's finest beers. Driven by a belief in the art of brewing with passion and craftsmanship, the Bosteels Brewery is a working piece of priceless historical importance.
The Bosteels Brewery stands in the heart of the village of Buggenhout, its iconic, whitewashed brewery tower a historical landmark that represents generations of a family brewing dynasty.

The brewery got established in 1791 by Jean-Baptist Bosteels.

The Bosteels family lived on the brewery’s premises until 2004 in the white family villa which was built by architect Minnaert (Minnaert Theatre, Ghent) and is a protected monument.
